## What is Convoy Guardian?

Convoy Guardian is an offline mesh bridge-strike prevention system for oversize (OS) and overweight (OW) heavy-haul convoys. It combines two independent detection methods with a self-forming mesh network to alert every crew member of an imminent or actual bridge strike in under 100 milliseconds — without requiring cellular connectivity.

Every clearance reading, alert, and crew acknowledgment is recorded to an audit-grade tamper-evident blackbox, providing forensic evidence for permit review, incident post-mortem, or dispute resolution.

Convoy Guardian is the "Move It." layer of the RoadScope Route Intelligence platform. It executes the permitted route safely, complementing MeasurePRO and ProfilingPRO (Measure It), RoadScope and SweptPRO (Map It), and the Reports/Permits layer (Prove It).

## Two Detection Methods

### Method 01: LiDAR Lead-Vehicle Sensing

A vehicle-mounted LiDAR sensor sweeps overhead clearance continuously as the lead truck approaches. Sub-threshold detection fires the mesh before the load ever reaches the structure — proactive, predictive, non-contact.

### Method 02: Smart Impact Pole

A high-precision electronic pole mounted on the load with accelerometers embedded along its length. The instant it touches a structure, a 360° red beacon fires at the pole tip AND every Convoy Guardian device in the mesh receives the strike alert simultaneously.

## Pricing

Convoy Guardian is sold as a complete hardware kit. There is no software subscription on Kit 1.
All prices are in US dollars and exclude shipping, customs, and duties.

Three configurations, each covering a seven-vehicle convoy: one lead, four following, and two
escorts (police or pilot vehicles) carrying body-worn units.

### Kit 1 — $7,900 USD
Mesh and contact detection. No software subscription required.

- 4 x following vehicle kits — $4,250

### Kit 2 — $20,400 USD
Kit 1 plus the LiDAR laser and tablet (+$12,500). This is the configuration that runs both
detection methods: predictive LiDAR clearance sensing (Method 01) and the Smart Impact Pole
(Method 02). Unlike Kit 1, Kit 2 runs MeasurePRO software to read the laser and transmit readings to the
mesh. MeasurePRO is included for the first 6 months, then $300 USD per month. One-day training
is included at no charge. First-year cost including subscription: $22,200 USD.

### Kit 3 — $28,900 USD
Kit 1 plus the complete MeasurePRO survey system (+$21,000), which includes its own laser — so
Kit 3 runs both detection methods, exactly like Kit 2. Intended for operators who survey their own
routes as well as running them. Like Kit 2 it runs MeasurePRO, included for the first 6 months,
then $300 USD per month. One-day training is included at no charge. First-year cost including
subscription: $30,700 USD.

### Training
One day of on-site crew training is required with every deployment. It costs $3,000 to $6,000 USD
depending on the province or state, because travel and instructor time vary by jurisdiction.
Training is free with Kit 2 and Kit 3. On Kit 1 it is quoted separately, so the delivered and
trained cost of Kit 1 is $10,900 to $13,900 USD.

### Software subscription
MeasurePRO is required by Kit 2 and Kit 3 to read the laser and feed the mesh. It is included for
the first 6 months, then $300 USD per month ($3,600 per year). Kit 1 requires no software and
carries no recurring cost.
