Convoy Guardian ships as two purpose-built devices: the Convoy Guardian Node, the IP67 head unit that carries the LiDAR sensor and joins the mesh, and the Convoy Guardian Smart Pole, the load-mounted impact pole with a 360° beacon and a multi-axis accelerometer array. Both are made by SolTec Innovation and ship as one complete field-ready kit with installation and crew training included.
Convoy Guardian is sold as a system, not as parts. A kit is sized to your convoy — the number of vehicles determines how many mesh nodes you need — and arrives ready to mount.
IP67 means the Node is sealed against dust and survives temporary immersion. That is the floor for equipment that lives on the outside of a truck through rain, road spray, wash bays, and winter salt. A safety device that stops working in bad weather is not a safety device — bad weather is when clearances get read wrong.
The values marked TBD above — LiDAR range, mesh range, and battery life for both devices — are pending final electronics validation. We would rather publish nothing than publish a number we have to walk back, so they will be filled in here as the hardware is signed off. If you need them for an evaluation now, ask us directly and we will share the current bench figures with the caveats attached.
Tell us your convoy configuration and typical load height. We will quote the kit and walk you through installation.
Tell us about your convoy. We'll set up a live demo on a real route — or meet you at Booth M01 at Breakbulk Americas.
We reply within one business day — usually sooner. If it is urgent, reach us directly at contact@soltec.ca.
