Convoy Guardian pricing — kits from $7,900 USD.

Convoy Guardian is sold as a complete hardware kit, not as a subscription. Three configurations cover a seven-vehicle convoy: contact detection on its own, both detection methods together, or the full survey stack. All prices are in US dollars and exclude shipping, customs, and duties.

Which detection methods you get

Kit 1 carries Method 02, the Smart Impact Pole — contact detection, and nothing else. It tells you the instant the load touches a structure.

Kit 2 and Kit 3 both run the full pair. Kit 2 adds the LiDAR laser and tablet; Kit 3 gets its laser from the complete MeasurePRO kit. Either way you also get Method 01, the predictive layer that reads the clearance before the load reaches the structure — and running both methods in parallel is the strongest configuration.

So the choice between Kit 2 and Kit 3 is not about detection. Both protect the convoy identically. Kit 3 adds the ability to survey the route yourself at ±2 mm and sync it to RoadScope — worth it if you plan your own corridors rather than buying survey data.

Where software is and is not needed

Kit 1 runs standalone. The mesh forms itself, the Smart Impact Pole fires on contact, and the blackbox records — none of it needs a computer, an account, or a subscription. That is deliberate: the entry kit should work in a yard with no connectivity and no IT involvement. That describes Kit 1 as it ships today; if a later version adds connected features that need an app, this page will say so.

Kit 2 and Kit 3 run MeasurePRO. A laser produces a stream of readings, and something has to interpret that stream and put it on the mesh. That is not an optional add-on — it is how the LiDAR method works at all.

MeasurePRO is included for the first 6 months, then $300 USD per month. So the first year costs $1,800 in subscription, and $3,600 a year after that. Budget for it up front rather than being surprised in month seven:

Kit 2 hardware$20,400
MeasurePRO, year one (6 months paid) $1,800
Kit 2, first year $22,200
Kit 3, first year $30,700
Either kit, each year after $3,600

Kit 1 has no such line. That is the trade: no laser, but no recurring cost either.

Training is required

Every deployment includes one day of on-site crew training, and it is not optional — the system is a safety device and the crew has to know the alert loop cold. Pricing runs $3,000 to $6,000 USD depending on the province or state, since travel and instructor time vary by jurisdiction.

Training is included at no charge with Kit 2 and Kit 3. On Kit 1 it is quoted separately, so budget for it up front:

Kit 1 hardware $7,900
Required training $3,000 – $6,000
Kit 1 delivered, trained $10,900 – $13,900

Worth doing the arithmetic before you choose: once training is counted, Kit 2 at $20,400 includes both the LiDAR laser and the training that Kit 1 still needs.

What is not included

  • Shipping — quoted to your destination
  • Customs and duties — payable by the importer of record
  • Tariffs — vary by origin and destination, and change

We quote these separately rather than folding an average into the kit price, because an averaged figure is wrong for everyone. Tell us where it ships and we will price it.

Larger or smaller convoys

The kits above cover seven vehicles — one lead, four following, two escorts. Fleets running longer convoys, multiple simultaneous moves, or more body-worn units are quoted from the same line items — tell us your configuration.
